Mechanical Lightning Strike Counter (Recorder)
SKU 7975009
The lightning strike counter is a universal device designed to register lightning discharges.
When lightning current flows through the down conductor, an induced voltage is generated, activating the counter mechanism and registering a lightning strike.
The device is intended for use with lightning protection systems, air-termination systems, surge protective devices (SPDs), and other systems designed to conduct lightning current.
Advantages:
Accurately counts the number of lightning strikes
No external power supply required
Retains readings for a long period of time
No counter reset function
Dust- and moisture-resistant enclosure

INSTALLATION
1. The counter is installed on the grounding conductor of a surge protective device (SPD) or on the down conductor of the lightning protection system using the supplied screws and metal mounting plates.
2. The down conductor or grounding conductor should pass as close as possible to the plastic enclosure of the device to ensure accurate counting.
MAINTENANCE
The device requires no external power supply or special maintenance and is designed for long-term operation.
